Executive Council Commends Leaders of Elk Sales Force

Elk Premium Building Products, Inc., (Elk) today announced the
members of the 2005 District Sales Manager (DSM) Executive Council,
honoring Elk roofing products elite sales force for excellent
overall sales performance.
Honored with selection to the this years Executive Council
are: John Ainsworth, Central Florida; Louis Gentry, Louisiana;
Michael Hayden, Iowa/Nebraska; Jay Mangel, Southeast Florida and
Richard Thompson, South Carolina.
Four of last years Executive Council members who have been
honored again with positions this year are Kory Kelly, Washington/Montana/Idaho;
Robert Marek, South Carolina/Georgia; Gunner Smith, Middle Tennessee
and Arty Vasquez, Southwest Florida.
The nine individual DSMs from around the country were selected
through an intensive screening process to hold the position in
the Executive Council for one year. Not only were the DSMs required
to be in the top 10% of the sales force, but they also had to
meet other strict criteria to qualify, including a strong contractor
commitment and success with the Elk Peak Performance SM Contractor
The Executive Council is designed to honor excellent salespeople
and tap into their valuable knowledge of Elk core customers: the
contractor, distributor and builder. The Executive Council will
contribute their hands-on customer expertise to upper management
and many company departments, serving on several special projects
throughout the year.
Curt Barker, ElkCorp senior vice president of sales and marketing

our best this year based on very difficult criteria. Their constant
commitment to their customers needs and dedication to the
Elk brand are invaluable assets to the company. Their efforts
made a marked difference in their territory and to overall company
